Flowy, XC singletrack close to Collinsville Lake.

Jonathan Trout

Overview

This trail system was built by a professional mountain bike trail builder. Great XC flow in the cliffs and hills around the lake. Excellent signage and three well-built, brand new bridges during the course of the entire circuit.
Family Friendly: The green trail is great for kids to cruise around the lake.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

You’ll start from the gravel lot just north of 151st street off of 149th. You have three trail options - all clearly marked. A green trail wraps around Collinsville Lake. A blue trail (1.4 miles) weaves in and out of the trees and cliffs above the lake in true XC style. A short black section of trail connects with the blue trail (0.9 miles). It’s not too difficult. It gets the back rating because it’s skinny with a steep drop to the north. Finally, there’s and slightly more technical section of blue trail that connects with the whole trail system. There’s a total of about 4 miles.

There’s a couple of pretty decent climbs of about 12% gradient. Not too long though. The rest is flowy ups and downs with berms on the tight corners. You’ll hit three well-built bridges along the way. Signage is excellent so you’ll never get lost.
