Description

There are two cattle gates that open back to Mission Peak but it's only accessible by rangers. SCU Fires ravaged the area, access routes are closed.

Climbing up Mill Creek Road is shared with cars limited to 25mph on a one lane road with no shoulder. Do watch for cars in either direction, a recent death occured. It is mostly shaded but dangerous due to small lane, shared space, downed trees, and frequent fires.

Rattlesnakes are common. No water stops available. Be vigilant and prepared.

This is the best part of the trail through the trees. Note that there is no way to get to Mill Creek Road even though it is 50 feet away. It is fenced and the 2 points where there are locked gates do not have bike or pedestrian gates.
