This trail starts in Pointsett State Park, and heads along sandy doubletrack roads. Between miles two and three, there is some intermediate level mountain biking through the pine forest. At mile three, you get a steep descent (Molly's Bluff) to the railway line.
The final four miles follow a former railway line, with a gravel doubletrack crossing nine trestle bridges. This portion provides a nice view of the swamps and creeks.
Note that you can also start at the Foxville Road Parking Area (see linked map, below) to only ride the rails-to-trails doubletrack, which provides a good option for an easy ride. A terrific PDF map with more details is available here.
