The first 0.3 miles of Long Branch follow an old doubletrack as you gain some altitude. At the top of the climb, an abrupt left turn takes you on flowy singletrack with a lot of easier switchbacks down to Long Branch Creek. Then, the trail follows Long Branch Creek for about a mile. The trail continues as Pine Mountain trail when it leaves the creek.
There are about a dozen trails that intersect with Long Branch at some point, so make sure you've got the
MTB Project mobile app, a good map, or a seasoned local to show you around.
