Description

Gas Line Road ( is a scenic doubletrack option above the Rise and Shine Downhill (#18E18). The route travels through huge pines and open meadows with great views of Lake Tahoe.

From the parking area north of King's Beach you can ride up Beaver Street Extension (16N86), Gas Line Road (16N52), Ridge View Road (16N66), and Martis Slope Road (16N55) to the Tahoe Rim: Brockway to Wilderness Boundary, making a long and scenic loop.

It's called a "road" so I tried it on my gravel bike with 30mm tires. Big mistake. It's not a road (not passable to cars) and the trail is covered in large rocks (5"+). Definitely only doable by MTB. It's pretty though. Jul 16, 2018
