Description

As with all trails in Lake Fairfax Park, this trail can be ridden in both directions. The trail follows a doubletrack on the eastern side of the cricket field before transitioning to a rolling gravel path along the field's southern side. Before long, the surface changes to rocky hardpack and starts to descend. As of August 2017, there is a fork in the trail after passing the cricket field. Both end at the same creek crossing, but the left side is more technical, with a 2 ft drop before a sharp switchback. Taking a right will lead to a rocky left turn before pointing straight downhill. This part of the trail has numerous small root drops and holes, so proceed with caution. After a creek crossing, the trail ends with a short climb, and it intersects with Rails to River Trail close to the end of Sidetrack Trail.
