Overview

Must obtain an Arizona State Lands recreation permit to ride here. To get a permit, visit their website.

Description

For those looking for something a little different, this remote spur provides loads of scenery, challenging climbs and fast descents on a narrow trail through the hills of Black Mountain. This trail is ridden as an out-and-back for those looking to tack on a solid extension to a loop ride off High Point and Bones Trail. Be aware of fence crossings along the way.

Just a note the the northern portion of this trail is virtually non-existent, I lost it several times and ended up riding through no trail terrain.

Overgrown at times, the high grass covers the trail and can be hard to track. Still very rideable but be careful of rattlers hiding in the tall grass.
