Description
Buffalo Head is the first loop option encountered from the parking area (via Lizard Foot). The trail is fairly well-packed with a little fluff on the sides. It's a fun route the swoops in and out of several drainages. At times, the trail approaches gray ledges of the Curtis Formation (a geologic layer just above the red Entrada formation).
Check out the view of the Henry Mountains from the far end of the loop before heading back towards the intersection with Landslide.
