“An alpine singletrack with great views and the wildflowers are amazing.”
— J. Bella
Snow-packed during winter.
As an uphill route, Sawmill is smoother and a bit easier than the Third Mother section of Bull of the Woods Road
. As a downhill route, this trail is a continuation of the Steam Engine Trail
and provides a fun and fast ride.
After winding through the forest for a ways, it opens up onto an old mining road grade. There's some waterbars built across the trail and a couple rollovers before it opens onto the road and the entrance to the Gold Camp Trail
This trail can be fast, and as it's a main uphill route, watch ahead for riders climbing. Line of sight is pretty clear most of the way.
