This lollipop ride is in the Wild Rivers Recreational Area with some challenging climbs, rewarding views, and fun descents. Overall, it is a solid workout that requires preparation and proper packing.

You may see hikers, so yield appropriately.

Generally, the trail heading east is steep with some rocks. There is a scree field to walk the first time and the route is around 80% singletrack.

At about 2.3 miles, there is a steep, dangerous hard left and hard right turn. The East Trailhead with access to the Las Vistas de Questa Trail and Punto de Coyote Vista Trail (Loop) is about two miles outside of Questa. The West Trailhead, where this ride starts and ends, is 5.6 miles from the first cattle guard off the Wild Rivers Backcountry Byway. Both trailheads are marked with brown signs.
