“A short, forested trail with a few grades and enjoyable flow.

- There is no public parking available in the Dogwood Campground unless you are a guest.
- The Dogwood Trail is the only trail sanctioned for bikers in the campground
Family Friendly: Mostly gentle terrain and the absence of extended climbs make this a good option for most kids.
Look for the start of the trail near Campsite #69. From there, the Dogwood Trail heads west past the Enchanted Loop Nature Trail (closed to bikers) where it turns north and starts a short, punchy descent that produces a nice turn of speed.
From there, the trail gradually winds and switchbacks down to the trails low point at the halfway mark. The return climb to the end of the trail by campsite #88 is steady, but not overwhelming.
The Dogwood Trail can be ridden in either direction and the trail is a relatively benign, wooded singletrack either way. Keep an eye out for the occasional more difficult spot or optional jump. It's possible to pick up some good speed in sections, and although the trail is lightly used, you may encounter other trail users and their dogs. Use caution, and yield appropriately.
