“A short, forested trail with a few grades and enjoyable flow.”— Jale Jackson
Family Friendly Mostly gentle terrain and the absence of extended climbs make this a good option for most kids.
From there, the trail gradually winds and switchbacks down to the trails low point at the halfway mark. The return climb to the end of the trail by campsite #88 is steady, but not overwhelming.
The Dogwood Trail can be ridden in either direction and the trail is a relatively benign, wooded singletrack either way. Keep an eye out for the occasional more difficult spot or optional jump. It's possible to pick up some good speed in sections, and although the trail is lightly used, you may encounter other trail users and their dogs. Use caution, and yield appropriately.
