Description

This trail is too steep to climb, but fun with a gravity assist. It has seen intermittent clearing and associated light use due to downfall in the old burns. Since the trailhead is an hour up the poorly maintained Willow Mountain Road, this trail will probably always get light use, so don't be surprised if you encounter some downfall.

For the most part, the trail is straightforward as it stays on the ridge passing through several old burns. As the trail starts to drop into the creek bottom, the first switchback is easy to miss as the trail appears to go straight along a user-created spur to a viewpoint.
