Description [Suggest Changes]

Thje trail starts just inside the Lake Scott State Park entrance at Barrel Springs. The initial trail is shaded singletrack that turns into doubletrack. Expect to see deer and turkey depending on the time of day. The trail parallels the paved road that goes around lake with many different lake and rock formation views. The trail is available for horseback riding, mountain biking, and walking/running.

Tough uphill sections, sometimes you might have to walk up hills. In most portions there are 1/2 a foot wide and deep. But all in all a hard/fun ride 19.8mi

Trail was in good shape, a little snow and ice in the shade but very little. Clockwise direction seemed to have more flow but saw riders riding in the counterclockwise direction also. A mix of single track and double track with a bit of elevation gain and some small climbs. Fun to play around on the dam, can actually ride over the concrete structures and through the water.
