Description

The Limber Pine Trail runs along the western edge of North Catamount Reservoir. As mapped, it runs from off of the Catamount Trail and meets at the intersection of the Ridge Trail and South Catamount Creek Trail.

The first mile winds through the pines and aspens on the north shore. It then descends and crosses the Catamount Trail again, and winds into the reeds of North Catamount Creek. Several metal bridges traverse the stream. Depending on the time of year and snow pack, the water in this area can be high.

Climbing out of the marshes, the trail ascends a small hill with a view of the north reservoir. It then descends towards the Ridge Trail and South Catamount Creek Trail.
