Winter seasonal closure for all uses Dec. 1 through April 30 (reopening May 1). No dogs allowed on Glassier OS Access Road or Glassier MTB/Equestrian Trails. No motorized vehicles.

Description

Climb or descend this trail to connect with nearby Crown BLM routes. You'll encounter thick oak brush and sage meadows along with some trailside cactus on a machine built trail that repeatedly kisses the edge of the red rock cliffs to the east. You'll find some of the best mid-valley views available along the cliff edge, overlooking the agricultural fields below with high elevation mountain views off in the distance.

The trail tops out with a ride-over structure at the Glassier Open Space property boundary, where you'll find an intersection with the Buckhorn Traverse and Vasten Trail.

RFMBA advocated for this trail during the Glassier Open Space's management plan and helped design the alignment. While it's in Eagle County, we can thank Pitkin County Open Space and Trails for managing this property, funding the trail build, and hiring Singletrack Trails to get 'er done in 2016!
