Family Friendly
This is a great place for families to get away from traffic. Tell younger riders to stay a couple feet from the edge of the trail because it slopes in places and they could easily run off the trail.
Personally, I would use caution during any hunting seasons in the fall and winter, specifically deer season.
Description
This rail-banked section was started back in the 90's, but has really made progress in the past few years. The trail is very well maintained by the Central Kansas Conservancy and is a fantastic addition to the Valkommen Trail in Lindsborg.
There is a five-mile section of trail missing right now; they are currently working with some land owners that aren't exactly interested in sharing the rail-banked land with them for development. I'll be monitoring their progress and update the trail map as soon as changes happen.
