Description

This a fun trail that is heavily used. If you park at the "Y" (end of Upper Sidewinder, start of Manzier), there's a great chance you'll use this trail to connect to the trails closer to the BLM lot.

From Manzier, you'll cross a gravel road (road leads to BLM lot) and now you are on Paul's. The trail is very obvious and easy to stay on. Follow it around the junipers as it dives back down into the drainage of a dry creekbed. Cross over the creekbed and parallel it for awhile. Then, the trail goes in and out of the same bed with some challenging, rocky obstacles to climb over. Watch out for loose rock!

After three distinct challenging rock features, you encounter a short but steep climb out of the drainage. This is always a quick lung burner for me, gets me huffing and puffing, and sets my body up for the rest of my ride. Paul's rides equally well in both directions.
