Description

The Whirlwind Loop is a fun 2 mile loop best done clockwise from where it starts at the Mustang Loop. This downhill route runs along the contours of a canyon traversing quickly between rock ledges, drops and hairpin corners. At the bottom, a left turn will take you .2 mile to the 7-Up trail and a right will lead up a fun climb back to an intersection of the Wildcat and Mustang Loop trails.

The trails in this system reflect the rugged and challenging terrain they are built within. Tight corners, constant grade changes, and numerous jumps, bumps and small drops keep riders on their toes. Surfaces vary from hard pack to slickrock to a bit of sand as the trails wind their way through pinion pines and rock canyons, all the while delivering unparalleled views of the majestic Moab area.
