A model climbing trail with, with several great descending options as your reward.

Overview

Family Friendly: This is a great trail for kids with mellow climbing and awesome views.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

The first mile and a half of this well-marked and well-built trail ascends at a reasonable pace with predictables switchbacked turns. Just after the intersection with Speedy Gonzales, there's a short but punchy climb before the trail soon levels out. Once at the relatively flat section, you can shift up into your higher gears to keep your heart rate up until you reach the Four Corners intersection with Ratical, Rattus Maximus, and Rat Trap.

If you choose to descend to the West, Rat Trap is the more aggressive descent, but all of the options are fun.
