Overview

The trail system features fast-flowing singletrack, rock gardens, technical, short-burst climbs, and great scenic views. With the number of trails in this area, there are many different loops and rides that can be made.

Need to Know

Note: Heavy flooding during spring and summer of 2019 required lots of repairs and re-routes which have all been done except for the 2 miles of Daisy Point which is still 10 ft under of water.

Description

Originally founded and developed by the Kansas Trail Council (KTC) in 1995, this network of trails has something for everyone.

The southern trails are made up of several loops along the peninsula before heading north via Logan's Run, Copperhead Trail, and Black Foot. The northern section of the trails winds through an abandoned campground with some paved road areas that still remain.

Grasshopper Trailhead at Westlake Road and 74th Street, take a right on a gravel road. This dead ends at the abandoned campground entry. Park alongside the road's edge and not in the road.
