Need to Know

Beware of trail runners, pets on and off leashes and wild life such as deer as they are abundant. During the summer beware of ticks and snakes.

Description

This trail has some of the best flowing and technical challenges this side of Kansas. Never assume all of the Midwest is flat - this trail will get your heart rate up. There are flowing sections, rock challenges, and great wildlife (deer, fowl, large squirrels, etc.).

Starting at the trailhead off of N 1402 Rd., you'll have a short warm-up before starting your balancing skills. At the far end is a "skills" challenge course if you dare, which is more BMX inspired than anything. There are a couple of offshoots that can be accessed along the trail. Get out and ride.

Certainly not over-built or even maintained like some MTB trails can be. This one is pretty raw and gritty. For a trail that has no real elevation change it is a bit of challenging fun, keeps you on your toes. It crosses the White Trail a couple times and with a few other 'connectors' between the two you can make up numerous different routes. Evening Riding Tip; Ride with someone who you can send first to clear out all the spider webs. Sep 21, 2016
