A lot of poison oak along the trail, so be careful or wear long pants. Many bushes of it: low and high to waist level. History

Getting forecast...

The last climb up and over to the Creekside Parking lot with a fun descent.

Features -none-

Family Friendly Close to the parking lot. Nice views at the top.

Fort Ord National monument trails are closed half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise.

Description

This is usually the last climb before heading back to the parking lot after descending Trail 41 (Goat Trail). It climbs up from Oil Well Road to a saddle that overlooks the Salinas River Valley and then drops down to just above the parking lot at Creekside Terrace.

Watch for hikers and trail runners as there is plenty of traffic on this trail since it is close to the parking lot.
