Description

Starting right around 11,000', drops over 1,000' with views throughout. This non-stop, high altitude thrill ride is all above treeline and should not be missed.

The trail itself is a series of long, well-built switchbacks with a few interspersed rock gardens thrown in. Although well planned, the trail does get very loose, especially around the corners and after months without precipitation...

Be sure to stop every now and again just to take in the views. The Minarets are stunningly beautiful from this vantage.

Dusty trail with loose sand on some spots but still a fun. Smoke from nearby wildfire can cause some inhalation issues for those with asthma
