This nice trail follows the perimeter of Black Forest - Section 16 Park. It is comprised of nice rolling hills, with a decomposed granite trail base. Some sections of the trail can be very sandy, but these just add to the workout. Going west from the parking lot results in a more gradual climb with a very fast downhill on the east side of the section. Going east from the parking lot results in a steeper climb over about 1.1 miles and then mostly downhill for the other 3 sides.
