Family Friendly This is a decent segment for kids that might have difficulty with too much elevation gain.

Hansen-Larson Memorial Park does a good job of posting closures on their Facebook page. It usually only closes in muddy conditions.

Description

This trail starts with a gradual uphill from the parking lot. It then winds its way with short interspersed segments of uphill and downhill. You never find yourself climbing too long on this trail. This is a good trail to take you back to the North Loop or to get to the base of many other climbs including Turkey, Horseshoe, and Sun Climb.
