Description

This is the furthest-back loop from the trailhead. By now, become accustomed to 30 exposures. This primo section is a 6 mile loop back to the bridge. You might want to do it again if the legs allow back through the Snake Pit and across Lone Tree hill. If not it is all new trail back to the trailhead. At L you enter the Birdy Loop, one of the features on the novice loop. Its not technical (unless you try to ride it fast it will hurt you). It is embedded in dense junipers on very mild terrain. After the Birdy Loop, it's the Home Stretch for a sweet last mile of mashing.

I stopped and rode this on a road trip from CO to IN, what a great way to stretch the legs! Who knew Kansas had such great riding potential. Kudos to the club that keeps this trail going. It was late November, and still had some recent maintenance work done on it. Stop at Grandma's Diner in Wilson afterwards...awesome milkshakes! Nov 26, 2016
