Description

The trail starts from the junctions of Blackmare Creek and Cougar Creek and climbs to the ridge at a moderate grade. Once at the top you'll head down a very challenging and steep trail in the beginning. It can be loose and the rocks are big, plus the switchbacks come up fast!

Expect to be behind your seat in the beginning. Further down, the trail mellows out and will be more fast and flowy with less chunky rocks to bounce over and off. The trail stays in the trees most of the way and can be moist down in the bottom. Overall, this is just a great downhill. Getting to the downhill does require some big loops or shuttles, however. One common loop is to use the North Fork Kennally Creek and then connect to the East Fork.
