A classic creek ride into the McCall Mountains.

Chris Wandervans

Overview

Can be snowbound until July
Features: eMTB allowed
Dogs: Off-leash

Description

The trail begins near the Poverty Flats campground, which is also a good staging area for the trail. The trail starts you off with a bunch of switchbacks before finally letting up a little as it follows the creek. From here the trail tends to contour except you'll need to pass through a total of 5 switchback sections that will challenge most riders. You'll also be in mostly heavy tree cover, so in the early season there could be a number of down trees that will keep things very interesting.

Once at the top you'll have a couple of choices to either turn around or try the Cougar Creek trail to make a big loop.
