Climb to the top; the gravel road is the easiest way at the moment.
Point it down. The trail follows the ridge crest and weaves its way through the lodgepole and Ponderosa. Nothing too steep or technical along the upper section. Cross the gated road at 0.5 miles and keep going. A little pedaling is required after the road. Once the pedaling stops the trail get steeper than it was up higher, but still mostly non technical. There is one small drop for a a little air time for those inclined. At the bottom, cool off with a splash crossing the ditch. Cruise down to the road.
If you want some more, cross the road and drop off the other side for some more trail down to the lake.
