Overview

Night Rides are planned events. See Facebook or Meetup.com for schedules or to request a night ride.
This is the best MTB trail east of the I-95 corridor in North Carolina. You'll be treated to hills (yes, hills) and rolling singletrack through beautiful hardwood forest.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

From the very beginning, you'll not believe this trail is located in Southeast North Carolina. Where did these hills come from? Brown's Creek Nature Park has it all. Climbing, Downhills, XC, Switchbacks, Bridges, etc. There are no other trails east of I-95 as challenging as this one. Great design, great ride.

Brown's Creek features a full loop starting in the parking area. There is also a practice track for all skill levels adjacent to the parking area and next to the trailhead.

If you are a GPS / Strava user, your distances will be less than the true length of the trail.

Good trail for near the coast. Some hills to get a workout. Few jumps and nice burms. Well maintained

Steep downhills! Sandy, too. Went when it was drizzling. Traction was off. Actually had to walk one of the downhills!! 5.1mi

Being from Western NC, I'm use to climbing, a lot..., so when a group of us went to ride this I thought how much climbing could there possibly be down here? There is climbing! It's short and punchy, but it'll get you breathing. The trail was in super shape because they had just had a race there, and the berms and jumps were great. More technical than speed, but still a ton of fun. Mar 27, 2017
