A twisting climb leading to a scenic overlook and a fun descent.

Overview

Description

A moderate, 1.5 mile trail with decent elevation gain and an amazing overlook. Of which makes for a great AHA moment after a nice pedal to the top. As mapped, the climb is steeper than the descent.

North Talon is definitely worth riding. While there is some technical toward the top of the trail (maybe 3/10 of a mile worth), it's nothing really difficult. There's some loose stuff and some low lying rock gardens, no drops or anything like that. If you find it too difficult, you can easily hike-a-bike here. I rode it in the direction as mapped. I think I'll ride it the other way next time. Oct 23, 2016
