Overview

An excellent multi-use trail system comprised of gravel paths and cement walkways through the scenic Berry Springs Nature Preservation. This system is mostly flat with a small section of singletrack just west of I-35. Additionally, there is an old pump track just north of the main entrance.

Description

The main parking lot starting area is off of CR 152. From the parking lot, either go to the old pump track north of the parking lot just past the camping area. Or take the cement path / Concrete Trail that winds through groves of Pecan Trees. The walkway goes around the spring feed pond and reconnects to the Concrete Trail through various pack gravel paths, that run through the primitive campgrounds, the wildlife viewing area, the fire pit, or the amphitheater.

After reconnecting to the Concrete Trail, go west towards and under Interstate 35 and Toll Rd 130, just after the overpasses is the short sections of singletrack / Berry Creek Trail that loop back around to the paved path. The Frontage Rd Loop, Field Trail and Market St. Trail are all connected to the Concrete Trail on the north side and from the runabout in the middle of the field.

Additionally, there is a heavily used entrance on Market Street, just across from the Berry Springs RV campground

New sections cut through the grass makes it more of a trail ride then paved path. Good for a short ride or to run circuits for some cardio. 7.1mi
