Overview

This ride avoids some of the more technical sections of the Pace Bend trails and keeps a really nice flow going. The last trail in the ride, Powerline, has a nice optional power skills area where you can do some pump track, ride some wood features, and practice your rock ups... or just zip by and keep flowing along. The entire ride is 4.7 miles, and its a great XC training ride for doing multiple laps.

About 2 miles before the park entrance on Pace Bend Road, there is an awesome burger and shakes place called "Lee's Almost By The Lake". Killer food joint for post ride grub !

Description

Park in the mountain bike trailhead parking lot on the left side of Grisham Trail Rd just before the 'Mudd Cove' turn off.

Start off heading down the Well Road trail for about 0.75 miles, and then go right on the 'Well Road to Pancho Connector'.

The 'Well Road to Pancho Connector' will put you at the tail end of the Pancho trail. Go right on Pancho trail for a short bit and then turn right on Pack Trail (about mile 1.1).

Take the Pack Trail until it connects at the top of Pancho trail (about mile 2.2). Then come down Pancho trail to Chicken Foot trail. Chicken Foot will drop you back again at the tail end of the Pancho trail.

Now grab Pancho trail and ride it back to the top (mile 4). At the top of Pancho trail, make a right and grab the Powerline trail for a nice blast back down to the parking lot. Along the way, you can stop at the power skills area along the Powerline trail and try out some wood ramp features, pump track, and rock up seasoning... or not :)
