Overview

Windrock XC is some of the rockiest terrain in the area. All trails have been hand built by a handful of folks over the past 3 years.

Need to Know

Pay for the Land Use Permit at the Windrock Park Camp office or the Windrock General Store before going to the trailhead.

Description

Park at the fire cut on Windrock Park Lane. The trailhead is directly behind the fire hydrant.

This loop takes you down Mossy Rock trail, which has several steep, technical rock gardens and one short climb. It connects with the gravel road, for about 30 feet, before climbing back up around the South side on Backside Trail. Backside Trail starts as a reclaimed road bed. As you round the East side, it becomes a long climb with many hard power moves over rocks and up steeps.

Once at the top, stay right and continue up to the top of Jump Line. There are several jumps with medium sized gaps on this trail (all have ride around options). At a 5 way intersection at the bottom, this route stays to the right. Going hard left will climb back to the top of Jump Line for more fun!

Continuing on the route, the trail climbs to the highest point and then follows Walden Avenue trail, to the West. Walden Avenue trail connects to Backside trail at the most Westward point where it becomes Ridge trail. Frontside Trail descends, steeply, through several switchbacks and rock gardens before ending at the parking area.
