Description

This road provides access from Curry Canyon Road to the northern side of Curry Canyon. It is a well maintained road that meanders along the hillside in grassland and forested areas. There is a spring along the trail that runs practically all year.

From the upper part of the mountain you can access this trail by coming down Green Ranch Road. It is worth the quick, relatively level, trip to the end of the trail to see the Frog Pond (which is frequently dry) area.

When descending, be very attentive to the signs at the intersection with Chase Pond Rd. This is a LEFT turn even though every bone in your internal guidance system will tell you that it should be a right turn.

Frog Pond Rd dead ends into Curry Canyon Road where you'll find a steady climb up to Curry Point.
