Trail shared by D L

A must if using the ice rink as a trailhead. This is a direct connection to Blue River Trail south of Aspen Alley.

Family Friendly Good intermediate trail for the older kids, though there are some technical features that can be challenging.

Description

Illinois Creek is a must to bypass Boreas Pass Road to/from either the Blue River Trail or the bottom of Aspen Alley.

This old-school Breck trail climbs briefly from the intersection with the Blue River Trail, but is mostly downhill to the ice rink after topping out.

The trail is a little technical in the middle section. There is a fork near the midpoint of the trail with Illinois Creek the eastern fork and Southside Trail the western. Either option returns to the ice rink and parking lot.
