Description

Pipeline is a crucial connecting trail that links the high school and the Stowe Town Loops, to Adam's Camp Loop and Trapp Family Lodge trails. Without it, 20 mile MTB rides on this side of town would involve a lot of roads.

The trail is well designed as it's proved to be nearly erosion proof. Also, it climbs quite nicely as long as you keep those pedals off those pesky guide stones.

Descending, well let's just say it's not really that fun. The combo of decreasing radius turns and guide stones as well as "kinky" switchbacks into uphill sections makes it quite hard to find flow. It's not impossible, just hard.

With that said, this trail is a crucial connecter in the great Stowe trail system and I hope some day there is a Bear's like descent and we can turn Pipeline into a climb-only trail.
