A common way to ride this trail is from Monte Bello Open Space parking lot, turning around for the out and back at the Table Mountain Trail turn-off. There may be parking on Stevens Canyon Road, but that's not confirmed at the time of this review.

This trail has a bit of everything. It starts out as doubletrack and eventually turns into slightly more technical singletrack with rocks and roots in the last 1/3 of the trail. The narrower section is also at the bottom of the canyon so expect wetness during winter and spring seasons, and even a creek crossing.

Getting down into the canyon is some wide smooth downhill that you can go really fast on, just watch out for others on the trail. But what goes down must come up, so be ready for a workout on the ride back.
