Dogs: Leashed

Description [Suggest Changes]

Bristlecone Loop starts with a smooth dirt fire road ascent for the first 3 miles. The climbing is steady but the grade slight, enjoyable.... At the junction with the Bonanza Trail (No MTB's), Bristlecone Loop turns to singletrack. The trail alternates between smooth loamy to smooth hardpack to rocky limestone outcroppings.

Parking is facilitated from the top for the Upper Bristlecone Trail at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort and the Lower Bristlecone Trail trailhead on Scout Canyon Rd off Lee Canyon Rd.

Stay on the alert for hikers as this is a very popular hiking trail as well!

Very intense trail, especially in late-march, when spring has made the trail slick with ice, and the ground is becoming mush with snow melt. 7.5mi — 5h 00m

Super fun trail! Some technical spots. First 3 miles rather boring on Lower Bristlecone but that all changes once you hit Upper. Watch for hikers! 5.7mi

Cool single track. just not enough of it. Long fire road. For training purposes and alpine experience its cool. But i wouldnt write home to mother about it. Jun 1, 2016

If you want the most intense biking experience, come out here during late-march, when mother nature really throws everything at you, from slick-ice to mud. The elevation also plays into the workout, as it averages between 8800'-9100' and coming from sea-level, it is definitely a workout to be considered. Mar 30, 2018
