Description

West Shore trail is part of Haw Ridge Park in the Oak Ridge city limits. It's located close to the Bull Run Steam Plant. Haw Ridge is approximately a 780 acre park containing trails for all levels. The main trailhead is located off of Edgemoor road which has a nice paved parking area. Sections of the main entrance trail are very rocky but can be ridden, be careful look out for many sharp rocks.

Continuing on the entrance trail, West Shore will be on your right. This trail runs adjacent to Melton Hill Lake. The first portion of the trail has a few hills and a technical sections as it drops dawn to the water level. The trail then flattens out and is mostly flat with a few ups and downs. This is a fun singletrack trail running next to the lake. Mostly smooth and well maintained. The trail ends at the intersection of Lake Road.
