Description

Starting from the Gile Mountain parking lot, the trail overlaps with the popular hiking route until it reaches the powerlines. The trail then crosses and recrosses the hiking trail on switchbacking singletrack after a short section of doubletrack under the powerlines.

The view from the top of the 7 story old fire tower at the top makes it worth it. Not to mention the option to take the Blue Ribbon trail down the ridgeline to Beaver Meadow road.
