Classic Central Oregon singletrack and the most direct route to the Lower Whoops Trail

Katy Ryan

Overview

Note: Ben's has been designated as uphill-only from the trailhead (as mapped).

Description

Ben's begins from Phil's trailhead parking lot. It's nicely marked, and begins on the parking lot itself. It's a beautiful smooth and flowy trail in the heavily forested Deschutes, and usually has some decent bike traffic.

Perhaps 1-2 small switchbacks with a few rocks that might challenge a new rider. The trail connects to many others in the Phil's trail system.

For a one-way uphill trail (presumably to get you to the top of Phil's) , this trail is surprisingly gentle on the legs. Jul 18, 2015
