If you're seeking a way to add some work and variety to the Paradise Royale loop, Pacific Rim trail will provide both, and in a hurry.
Check out this pool of freshwater hosting numerous California Newts near the 3/4 mark of the Paradise Royale Loop.
A lot of work has been done on these trails, and they are a delight.
