Looking south at old signs where East Fork Cottonwood Creek meets Cottonwood Creek. Stay left and look for a place to stash your bike as the trail fades and becomes riddled with deadfall.

Looking north just up from where East Fork Cottonwood Creek meets Cottonwood Creek. Bikes were stashed in this clearing and the remainder of the route hiked due to deadfall and faint to nonexistent trail.
