Looking north just up from where East Fork Cottonwood Creek meets Cottonwood Creek. Bikes were stashed in this clearing and the remainder of the route hiked due to deadfall and faint to nonexistent trail.
Looking north at the out-of-place bridge over grass. A very surprising but quite odd sight after miles of wandering. It appears relatively new and well-constructed yet totally unnecessary.

An old stove from decades gone by rests silently in the forest. If you see it, you are indeed on route even though it may seem otherwise.
Half Moon Pass w/Big Snowies highpoint, Greathouse Peak, behind. A punishing 7.1 mi. from eastern Uhlhorn TH.
Looking east, faced with a series of hurdles and bushwhacking. Be sure to look for the occasional tree blaze to stay on route.
