Need to Know

It is part of the State Park system and requires a fee to enter. There is a self-service pay station at the trailhead.

Description

This trail can be accessed from several points including Weatherford, Garner, and Mineral Wells. There are several outhouses along the trail in addition to benches conveniently placed for resting. It’s a great way to get lots of miles in and runs about 20 miles in one direction.

There are some washed-out areas and roots to avoid but generally smooth with gravel base. Mineral Wells State Park can also be accessed from this trail.

First 4 miles from weatherford is a slow altitude gain of 137'. Wide, easy trail. Great for beginners. Lots of deer and other wildlife. 8.1mi — 0h 40m
