Need to Know

This trail is one-way only. You can check Friends of Pocahontas State Park website for the latest trail conditions. Or you can check the RVA Trail Report page on Facebook for trail information as well.

Description

Most of the features on this trail will have a bypass if you need to check out the features before you try them.

Once you start down the trail and make it over the rock feature by the entrance fence, you'll come to a series of jumps. All of them are roll-able should you not want to send it your first time around.

The first jump is a table top followed by a small gap jump. Once you have cleared the gap and made it over the roller, you'll have a split in the trail. The right trail has some rollers and a small dip which will then put you back on the main trail. If you go left at the split, you'll hit the biggest table top in the whole park. It is easily bike park worthy. It's got a big take off and a big landing area.

You then hit another small gap jump which is followed by some very smooth berms that will take you to a big rock drop followed by a step up jump that will leave you no choice but to SEND IT!! After these series of features, it's time to pedal and gain some elevation. You'll hit another series of small jumps, wooden features, and rollers.

Once you arrive at the second split in the trail, you'll be given two very fun choices. The left trail has a berm into a left turn followed by a huge bowl that spits you to the right and into a small step-up jump. After the step-up jump, you then fly off a series of small drops and into a rock garden where the trail merges with Sunsetter trail.

The right trail at the split will take you down to a smooth table top followed by a big rock drop where you can get all the air you can handle. It then merges into the rock garden merger with Sunsetter trail. Be mindful of other riders in this area. It is a THREE-WAY MERGE with the left and right trails of Moonshine Run and the merge onto Sunsetter trail.
