Description

Rock Island is accessed via Coal Miner or by taking the T-194 fire road off of Pioneer Rd. It is a great intermediate level trail for the newbie who is ready to try some technical riding but will also keep the more seasoned rider entertained.

Right off the bat, you are catching speed downhill to hit a wooden pipeline crossing (that you can gap), into rocky, technical trail that features lots of cool boulders to navigate through with different line choices. As you work your way out of the technical sections, the trail turns more flowy and fast with a couple of short climbs, then eventually brings you out to the power line right of way.
