Family Friendly A very flat trail. This is a great out-and-back ride for families, with the occasional unobstructed view of Weaverville. Don't be fooled by the short climb up from the parking area.

Need to Know

Approximately 2.2 miles from the parking area, there is a narrow trestle bridge crossing with no side rails that can be ridden or walked across.

Description

Perched above Weaverville, this seldom used multi-use trail is great for families or those looking to add extra mileage to their Weaver Basin ride. After the short climb from the parking area, the rest of the ride sees little change in elevation as it meanders through oaks and manzanitas.

The land is managed by both US Forest Service and Sierra Pacific Industries.

I'm new to mtn biking and I've fallen in love with this trail. Nice views of Weaverville and not too much incline/decline so you can enjoy the view!
