Overview

The race course runs on parts of the following trails: NICA, Road Connector, Mifflin Loop, Aimee's Loop, Carcass Cutoff, Jane's Loop, and Warrior Loop.

Description

This is lap of the highschool races from the SoCal League. The course starts on a long dirt road and turns left at the end of the straightaway. It opens up to a really wide fire road, which makes it great for passing in a race! After that, it turns left again and heads up a long straight climb.

Once it gets to the top of the ridge, it turns right and runs down the other side. Soon it makes a left into singletrack and runs through a curving, flowy section. It ends up at the bottom of a small valley, then climbs back up a lot of switchbacks to the top of the ridge again. At the top of the ridge, it climbs up a little further, then runs around the side of the mountain and starts twisting its way back down to the Start/Finish.

It gets technical and very bumpy in some places, which includes small rock gardens and places where cows have wandered (which makes holes in the trails). There are some large rocks to ride over, before a small downhill sprint into the Finish!
